Will Hall is a highly regarded professional trombonist and Brass teacher based in Portishead, Bristol. Whether new to brass instruments, or a lifelong learner, Will is always happy to work with students to advance their musical studies. As an experienced musician, he has a wide repertoire of musical styles and can teach students about the various brass instruments. He has experience in Orchestral, Chamber, Function, Show and Session work.

Fully Qualified and Experienced
An experienced, award-winning, and highly qualified trombonist and brass tutor, Will Hall holds a Bachelor of Music with Honours, a Post Graduate Diploma with distinction from the Royal Welsh College of Music, and a further Post Graduate Diploma with distinction in performance from the Royal Academy of Music.

Will has worked with many professional musicians and ensembles, including playing with the Bristol Ensemble and the British Sinfonietta. He has recorded for the BBC and ITV and performed with artists like Neil Diamond and McFly at the illustrious Royal Variety Show. He has comprehensive experience in live performance, and Recent engagements have included recording for the Paris fashion week and providing music for graduation ceremonies with his own ensemble.

Brass Lessons – Trumpet and Trombone Teacher
Will has experience tutoring student trumpet and trombone players in brass instruments from 6 to 86 years old. He enjoys everything about the process of taking a beginner trumpet or trombone player and teaching them music fundamentals to reach a professional level of playing.

Will tailors his musical lessons to the individual, focusing on their specific needs and ambitions. Whether they wish to learn how to play the trumpet, trombone, or any other brass instrument, Will works with students of any musical ability to create a fun and exciting learning environment tailored to their individual goals.

His lessons combine both technical and musical aspects to bring out the best in each student. Whether students hope to become professional soloists or a member of a brass band, Will can help them reach their goals. Will is also just as passionate and enthusiastic about teaching advanced music students preparing for university auditions and diplomas.

Lessons are available from his teaching room in Portishead, North Somerset, a short drive from Bristol. Lessons are available weekly in term time and are structured to be fun and enjoyable whilst developing a solid technique. Will is fully DBS-checked.
